What is the Definition of Good according to Christianity?
There is the saying that “All religions are the same,Islam and Christianity both say to do Good,it is the same thing.”In the Koran nowhere is Good defined as the Law of Allah. The Koran has the Golden Rule in 5 passages but it is not the Ethical Heart of Islam because it modifies it,puts a condition on it by having Allah curse the Christians “till theDay of Resurrection”(chapter 5:14) and then the Jews are cursed “till the Day of Resurrection” (chapter 5:64).
When you analyze the NT you find that we have:
Good=Golden Rule (the basis of Human Rights)
OK,the NT has the Golden Rule but is it the Ethical Heart of the NT?
It is, for the simple reason the NT says the Golden Rule has the position of Law,which is the highest level possible in Judaism. In Judaism Law means “Law of God”.
First, the Golden Rule is stated in 2 ways:
Golden Rule= “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (or in a similar variation)
Golden Rule=“Love your neighbor as yourself “
To read some of the passages where we have this read:

Four Passages where the Golden Rule is Specifically called “Law”
Again,in Jewish thinking Law=Law of God.They are in Matthew 7:12, Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:14, James 2:8.
Paul mentions the “Law of Christ”,the Golden Rule=Law of Christ
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the Law of Christ.”
Notice here “Bear one another’s burden’s” is a variation of the Golden Rule (“Do to others as you would have them do to you”).So here we have a fifth passage.
Paul also says “Law of God=Law of Christ”,Golden Rule=Law of God
1 Corinthians 9:21:
“To those not having the Law (Note: Law of Moses) I became like one not having the Law, though I am not free from the Law of God but am under the Law of Christ, so as to win those not having the Law(Note:those who are not Jewish).”
James, the Half-Brother of Jesus talks of a Perfect Law,a Law of Liberty, and even later calls it the Royal/Kingly Law
“But he who looks into the perfect law, that of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. ”
Later James says it is the Golden Rule
“If you really keep the Royal Law/Kingly Law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”you do well.”
On top of all this, nowere in the NT is there a universal curse of any group by God like you find in the Koran regarding the Christians and the Jews.
The Koran, since it nowhere says the Golden Rule occupies the highest possible level, like that of Law in Judaism, then it does not have the Golden Rule as its Ethical Heart, while Christianity does.
The 5 Titles of the Golden Rule in the NT
Since we have Golden Rule=”Love your neighbor as yourself” this Law is also called:
1.Law of God
2.Law of Christ
4.Law of Liberty
